Evidence of Authority

Now we need to determine whether you will need to include an Evidence of Authority in your agreement. Generally you will not have to submit an Evidence of Authority if you receive notices under only one name and on your behalf only.

An Evidence of Authority is required if you answer "YES" to any of the following questions:

  1. Are you submitting names and addresses for related companies, such as parent or subsidiary companies, brand names, or multiple attorneys in a law firm who will be receiving their notices through the registered EDI account?

  2. Are you submitting names and addresses as an agent for another company (i.e., third party service provider)?
